A convicted murderer who fled from a prerelease work program has been found dead.

The body of Tara Kehoe, 37, was found in Adelaide's southern suburbs on Saturday, about three weeks after she went missing and police say her death is not suspicious.

Kehoe was among a gang of five teenagers who killed 18-year old Tracy Muzyk in December, 1996.
