Australian-owned Coopers Brewery will be pouring beers at the Australian Open after signing a five-year partnership with the national tennis body.
The deal with Tennis Australia also makes Coopers the official supplier for lead-up tournaments and the only beer supplier for entertainment and sporting events at Melbourne Park.
The rights to pour beer at the tennis tournament were previously held by Dutch beer giant Heineken, which is distributed in Australia by Lion.
Coopers is the largest Australian-owned brewer with an estimated 4.7 per cent share of the $4.3 billion beer market, according to IBIS World research.
Internationally owned Lion and Carlton United Breweries have around 80 per cent of Australia's beer market.
