The Sydney Roosters have reportedly signed Brisbane NRL centre Dale Copley.

The 24-year-old told Broncos teammates on Saturday morning he'd signed with the Roosters who are expected to announce the deal on Monday, according to News Corp.

Copley, who was forced out of Brisbane by the arrival of former Gold Coast flyer James Roberts, will commence training with the Roosters next week.

A member of the Queensland Emerging Origin squad, Copley was touted by Broncos coach Wayne Bennett after last year's grand final loss as the successor to retired skipper Justin Hodges before he was dumped for Roberts.

The Roosters are expected to make an announcement on Monday with Copley tipped to replace Michael Jennings at the foundation club.

It has been widely speculated that Jennings will join Parramatta.
