Cormann baby born day after budget update

A day after Finance Minister Mathias Cormann helped deliver the mid-year budget review, his wife has given birth to a baby girl.

The sleepless nights are set to continue for Finance Minister Mathias Cormann, whose wife delivered a baby girl a day after he helped deliver the mid-year budget review.

"Yesterday we welcomed a beautiful girl Charlotte Maree Irene into the word (sic). Mum & baby well. Isabelle & dad excited," Senator Cormann tweeted on Thursday.

The mid-year economic and fiscal outlook was released in Perth on Tuesday so Senator Cormann could remain close to his wife Hayley.
