Western Australia all-rounder Nathan Coulter-Nile will play his first Sheffield Shield game of the season when he lines up against Queensland at the WACA Ground this week.

Coulter-Nile has been dogged by shoulder issues this summer, but he has been cleared to play the opening two days of the Shield match, which starts on Thursday.

Paceman Joel Paris will replace Coulter-Nile for the final two days of the match, while Shaun Marsh has been included in the side after being released from the Test squad.
