A new report shows Australia ranks well below other countries in providing tax incentives for innovation.

How Australia Compares, released by the Australian Advanced Manufacturing Council on Monday, ranks Australia 10th out of 12 major nations in terms of its corporate tax system.

The report calls for a 10 per cent tax rate for profits earned on Australian generated and registered intellectual property.
