Ernie Els designed the course that will host this week's Asia Bank Mauritius Open and the South African great admits he is delighted to be back.

Ernie Els will make his first appearance at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at Anahita this week but he is no stranger to the host venue.

The four-time major winner returns to Four Seasons Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita over 10 years after designing the course, and he is delighted to be back.

The 49-year-old South African said : "It's really exciting to be back.

"I haven't been back here since we opened the course. It's so nice to have a tournament of this stature played on our golf course

"Hopefully a little 'insider' knowledge will work in my favour.

Australians David Gleeson - who is among the first group to tee off on Thursday morning - and Travis Smyth are among the field for the European Tour event.
