Court approves $3.4b Recall takeover

The Federal Court of Australia has approved Iron Mountain's $3.4 billion takeover of data management company Recall.

The $3.4 billion takeover of Australian data management company Recall by US logistics giant Iron Mountain has been approved by the Federal Court of Australia.

A copy of the court's orders will be lodged with Australia's corporate regulator on Thursday, at which time the offer scheme will become legally effective.

If this occurs, Recall shares will cease trading on the Australian Securities Exchange at the close of trade on Thursday.

Recall shareholders will receive 50 US cents cash plus 0.1722 new Iron Mountain Securities per share or a cash alternative of $8.50 per Recall share.

Recall shares last traded at $8.39.
