Court for 5 over pregnant teen attack

Five people charged over an alleged attack on a pregnant NSW teenager and assaults on other young people will face court.

Five young people are due to face court over a Sydney home invasion where a pregnant teenager was kicked in the stomach.

A gang of seven teens and youths allegedly assaulted the 16-year-old girl, who was with five other people, at a Cronulla unit early on Tuesday morning.

A 37-year-old man was also allegedly assaulted with a hammer.

Police say three men, aged 20, 21 and 27 and two 17-year-old girls were charged on Tuesday evening, while another 18-year-old woman was released without charge.

The men were refused bail and are due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday after being charged with aggravated break and enter and committing a serious indictable offence.

The teenage girls are due to appear in a Children's Court over the same offences, police said.

The pregnant girl and another two 16-year-old girls were discharged from Sutherland Hospital on Tuesday, while the injured man remains in a stable condition in St George Hospital.
