Controversial AFL star and drug addict Ben Cousins has claimed his notorious 2007 arrest in Perth was "payback" from WA police.
In the first part of his much-anticipated documentary on Channel Seven, Cousins also describes the death of his friend and former West Coast player Chris Mainwaring in the same year as "a tragic accident".
Cousins vehemently denies using performance-enhancing drugs, saying he used illicit drugs as a reward for training hard.

Cousins is set to play a farewell AFL game this weekend after Richmond confirmed the 32-year-old has been cleared of serious hamstring damage.
Cousins appeared to have played his last game when he limped from the field during the third quarter of the weekend loss to St Kilda.
But the Tigers say scans have shown no significant injury to Cousins hamstring.
He is now expected to play for the Tigers in their final home-and-away match of the season against Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
