North Queensland's Kyle Feldt admits the brutal shoulder charge that landed him a three-game NRL suspension was unacceptable.
The winger will make his return for the Cowboys' clash with the lowly Sydney Roosters on Sunday.
Feldt has been a spectator for a month after he was found guilty of a shoulder charge on Canberra's Jarrod Croker in the final seconds of the Raiders' 26-12 win over the premiers on July 11.
The 24-year-old says the incident was out of character and simply a case of letting his frustration boil over.
"It was just a big brain fart, really," he said.

"Something ticked me off during the game and I let my emotions get the better of me. The scoreboard got to my head as well."
In Feldt's absence, the Cowboys have beaten Canterbury but go south to take on the Roosters after back-to-back losses to Melbourne and Wests Tigers.
Feldt says he's struggled to deal with being unable to help his teammates during his ban.
"Sitting on the sideline knowing you can run around without being injured or anything, it's the hardest thing watching the boys battle without you," he said.
"For probably the first week I was really annoyed and upset about what I'd done.
"I just thought I had to really move past it and concentrate on what I had to do throughout the three weeks that I was off and really focus on my training.
"Get everything else right off the field so I'm ready to go when I get a chance to come back."
