North Queensland co-captain Matt Scott will attempt to overturn his grade one shoulder charge citing at the NRL judiciary in a bid to play against Manly on Thursday.
Scott, who was controversially axed from the Queensland State of Origin team on Monday, was charged for his no-arms hit on Melbourne centre Young Tonumaipea last week.
However he will now aim to bounce back for a Cowboys side that are mired in second last spot on the table and face an uphill battle to make the finals this year.
In other judiciary news, Cronulla star Wade Graham is facing a one-match ban after being issued with a grade one dangerous contact charge from Sunday's win over Newcastle.
The match review committee cited Graham for a suspected crusher tackle on Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga in the 57th minute that went unpunished on the field.

Graham, who only just returned from a hamstring injury against the Knights, would have avoided suspension with an early guilty plea but has loading from two previous offences.
Loading could also result in Newcastle prop Herman Ese'ese missing a match after landing in hot water for attacking the legs of Sharks halfback Chad Townsend on a kick.
He was charged with a grade one dangerous contact charge, while teammate Nathan Ross has also been fined for tripping.
Sharks second-rower Luke Lewis is also likely to escape suspension should he take the early guilty plea for a dangerous contact charge, also on Ponga.
Penrith rookie Jack Hetherington and Melbourne prop Sam Kasiano are the only other players to cop one-game bans for separate dangerous contact charges.
The charge was Hetherington's sixth in the past two years, stemming from lower grades.
