Craig Thomson to quit Labor

MP Craig Thomson is expected to announce later today that he's quitting Labor and will sit on the cross bench as an independent in parliament.

Embattled federal MP Craig Thomson is set to leave the Australian Labor Party.

Mr Thomson is expected to announce the move at a press conference outside his electorate office in Tuggerah at midday on Sunday.
