Key forward Josh Jenkins' AFL exile is likely to end with a recall to Adelaide's side this weekend.

Jenkins was dumped by the Crows five weeks ago but has returned to form in state league ranks, kicking six goals last Saturday.

Adelaide assistant coach Ben Hart says he will come under strong consideration for Saturday's home game against West Coast.

"We have heard good reports about what Josh was able to do, he moved really well," Hart told reporters on Monday.

"Kicking six and having nine shots on goal means he's doing something right but that will be a discussion later in the week.

"He certainly puts his hand up, which is great."

The Crows hope prolific ball-winner Matt Crouch will return from a hip injury which forced him out of last Saturday's one-point loss to Brisbane.

"He will be assessed during the week but he has improved quite significantly over the last couple of days," Hart said.

Key defender Kyle Hartigan will be monitored this week after being concussed in a collision with teammate Alex Keath in the Lions loss.

Keath hurt a hip in the collision but the Crows expect him to front against the Eagles.

Ruckman Reilly O'Brien sprained an ankle against Brisbane but was not expected to miss the Eagles game, though first-choice ruck Sam Jacobs (knee) will be sidelined at least one more week.

The seventh-placed Crows also expect defender Brodie Smith to play against West Coast despite hyper-extending his right knee against Brisbane.

After having it strapped, Smith returned to finish the game.

The Crows were also likely to consider seasoned campaigners Paul Seedsman and Richard Douglas for selection this week.

Seedsman (knee) and Douglas (ankle) returned after lengthy absences in state league ranks last weekend.

"We have got a few guys in the conversation this week which is excellent, selection pressure is what you need," Hart said.
