Adelaide forward Tom Lynch says he has no issues with the tackle that knocked him out.

Lynch was concussed in a Jarrad Waite tackle last week which left the North player suspended and the AFL debating the status of sling tackles.

"I didn't really remember much at the time," Lynch told reporters on Monday.

"And I don't like to watch it back too many times, but they're the rules and we have obviously got to adhere to them.

"I'm sure there was no malice and he wasn't trying to hurt me or anything like that.

"He is a good guy and hopefully he's back this week."

Waite was banned for a game with North coach Brad Scott unwilling to risk the suspension being doubled if the club challenged unsuccessfully.

"We want to be clear that we didn't agree with the decision," Scott said last week.

"We're not happy with it but the system is that if we challenged, he would have got two.

"We accepted the penalty based on the system, not on the incident."

Lynch passed mid-week concussion tests and played in Adelaide's 41-point loss to Melbourne.

"I got through alright, I just played pretty poorly," Lynch said.
