Adelaide forward Mitch McGovern has more hamstring trouble, putting him in doubt for Friday night's AFL preliminary final against Geelong.
The Crows confirmed the injury scare, saying McGovern will undergo further medical tests because of soreness in his left hamstring.
The 22-year-old suffered a right hamstring tear in round three and did not return until round 15.
Adelaide released a short statement on Sunday afternoon.
"Adelaide forward Mitch McGovern will undergo further medical investigation after reporting soreness in his hamstring," the Crows said.
"The soreness is in the opposite (left) leg and unrelated to the injury McGovern missed 10 games with earlier in the season."
While the Crows will start favourites against the Cats, they are having no luck with injuries and illness through this finals series.
Rory Sloane was forced to sit out their qualifying final win over Greater Western Sydney after having his appendix removed.
The vice-captain appears certain to return against Geelong.
Defender Brodie Smith needed a season-ending knee reconstruction after he was hurt in the win over the Giants.
The AFL website reported that McGovern pulled up sore on Saturday during Adelaide's closed training session.
By contrast, the Cats could have a clean bill of health.
Defender Tom Lonergan will return from the food poisoning that made him a late withdrawal from Friday night's upset semi-final win over Sydney.
They also reported on Sunday that scans had cleared fellow backman Tom Stewart of any serious hamstring damage.
Stewart left the game in the third quarter with hamstring tightness.
The Cats said they would test Stewart ahead of Friday's clash.
McGovern re-signed with the Crows late last month and the three-year deal ties him to the club until at least 2020.
The Crows recruited him with pick No.43 in the 2014 draft and he made an impressive debut last year, playing 23 of their 24 games.
He has played every game since returning from the hamstring injury for a career total of 36.
