Crows lose Laird in AFL with toe fracture

Ricky Henderson will probably take Rory Laird's place in the Adelaide AFL defence with a toe fracture sidelining the half-back.

Adelaide defender Rory Laird is out of AFL action for up to three weeks because of a fractured toe.

The half-back suffered the injury during Saturday's home win over Fremantle and ended the game with his foot in ice.

Adelaide have impressed with their 4-2 start and Laird has been among their best players.

Ricky Henderson will probably take his place.

Brad Crouch, Wayne Milera and former captain Nathan Van Berlo are all pushing for senior recalls.
