Adelaide captain Taylor Walker and key defender Daniel Talia will miss Sunday's AFL match against West Coast because of injury.
The ladder-leading Crows have opted not to risk the decorated duo but expect both to be fit for week one of the finals.
Walker is battling a toe injury while Talia suffered an ankle injury in last week's loss to Sydney.
"Both Taylor and Daniel were close to playing but didn't quite come up in time," Adelaide's high performance manager Matt Hass told the club's website on Friday.
"Taylor's toe flared up a bit on the track this week and Daniel's movement has been restricted somewhat by that ankle.

"We weren't comfortable risking them for this week but we're confident they'll be fine for our first final."
The Crows added ruckman Reilly O'Brien and forward Jonathon Beech to their 25-man squad, to be trimmed to 22 players later on Friday.
Adelaide are assured of a top-two finish regardless of the result of the Eagles game but could concede top spot if they lose.
The Crows will keep their current top spot if they win.
