The Adelaide Crows won't know the AFL grand final prognosis for injured forward Mitch McGovern until later this week.
McGovern missed Adelaide's preliminary final win because of hamstring tightness but will press his claims for a recall mid-week.
"As a club we are going to give him every chance," teammate Sam Jacobs told reporters on Monday.
"Gov was back running last week and he is going to himself every chance to get right.
"Obviously it's Monday and the game is not until Saturday so a lot of water to go under the bridge yet.
"Hopefully he can train really well and put his hand up (for selection). He has been an integral part of our team."
The fitness of McGovern, who was replaced by utility Andy Otten in the preliminary final, is Adelaide's sole selection headache in grand final week.
The Crows appear unlikely to swing any other changes with David Mackay taking the half-back role of Brodie Smith, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in the qualifying final.
Mackay's reshuffle led to his customary wing position being filled by Paul Seedsman, who sealed his grand final spot with two goals and 19 disposals in their preliminary final triumph.
