Cruise worker accused of raping Australian

A Carnival cruise worker accused of raping an Australian tourist in a ship cabin has been arrested in Puerto Rico.

Authorities in Puerto Rico say they have detained a Carnival cruise ship worker accused of raping an Australian tourist on a boat.

Police say the alleged rape occurred early on Saturday in one of the cabins of the Carnival Liberty ship that is docked in San Juan.

No further details were provided.

A Carnival spokesman said the company is investigating the incident.
