NRL whistleblowers Ben Cummins and Gerard Sutton have been selected to referee at the Four Nations tournament in the UK starting later this month.

Cummins, who officiated in this month's grand final between Melbourne and Cronulla, and Suton were selected by a three-strong panel that included NRL referees boss Tony Archer.

They will be joined by Super League duo Robert Hicks and Ben Thaler for the tournament that features Australia, England, New Zealand and Scotland.

Australia and Scotland will kick off proceedings in Hull on Friday, October 28.
