Cyclone warning cancelled for WA coast

Authorities have cancelled cyclone warnings for Western Australia's Pilbara Coast.

Storm warnings for Western Australia's Pilbara have been cancelled with tropical cyclone Riley now expected to track parallel to the coast.

Riley remains a category two system but its path has prompted authorities to cancel warnings for coastal districts including Exmouth, Onslow, Karratha and Dampier.

The cyclone, which formed at 6am on Thursday, is still packing wind gusts of up to 155 km/h but will deliver mainly squally thunderstorms across the region on Saturday and Sunday.
