Props from long-running British series Dr Who have fetched three to five times their asking price at an auction in London.
Die-hard fans and collectorsflocked to Bonhams auction house for their chance to buy two full-size Daleks and a range of Cyberman suits.
Both Daleks, which starred in the 1988 Remembrance of the Daleks episodes, attracted bids well over their sale estimates and went to anonymous telephone bidders.
The Imperial Dalek (Mk 1) was the highest selling item of the day, going for Stg20,400 ($A35,385.95) - about seven times higher than its estimated Stg2500 to Stg3500 pre-auction estimate.
The second Imperial Dalek (Mk 2) sold for Stg15,600 ($A27,060).
A little black dress worn by Kylie Minogue during her adventures on cult TV show Doctor Who has been snapped up by a fan for more than $5,000 at auction.
Accompanying the dress was a pair of knee-high lace-up boots believed to have been worn by Minogue's stunt double.
Minogue wore the A-line, knee-length, black satin effect dress when she played Titanic waitress Astrid Perth in the 2007 Doctor Who Christmas special, Voyage of the Damned.
An unknown buyer snapped up the frock for Stg3120 ($A5,411.97) on Wednesday
A black wool-mohair mix dinner suit by British designer Paul Smith worn by Doctor Who star David Tennant during the same episode fetched Stg5,040 ($A8,742.41).
The silver painted Cybermen body suits - most complete with helmet, cricketer's style gloves and laser guns - were just as popular.
The suits had been expected to attract bids of STG2000 but ended up selling for between Stg9600 ($A16,652.21) and Stg2880 ($A4,995.66) each.
Even a set of three incomplete Cybermen costumes sold for Stg2040 ($A3,538.59).
The auction of goodies from the BBC's costumes and props archive also included dozens of outfits worn by the Doctor's recent assistants Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) and Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) as well as costumes for various space creatures which appeared in the 1980s and 1970s.
Other items to go under the hammer were a black 2002 Land Rover, known as the Torchwood SUV, for Stg18,000 ($A31,222.9) while a vacform/steel frame section of the Tardis sold for Stg3,840 ($A6,660.88).
Bonhams entertainment memorabilia specialist Stephanie Connell said the 163 items up for grabs sold for Stg253,158 ($A439,129.23), with many fans having braved bidding wars to secure the cult objects.
"This is a fantastic result proving what an iconic show Doctor Who is," she said.
"Collectors for both the new and classic series were out in force today - demonstrating the continuing popularity of both series - and Bonhams are delighted to have held such a high profile sale."
