Damaging winds predicted for Snowy Mtns

The Bureau of Meterology has issued a severe weather warning for damaging winds in the NSW Snowy Mountains region.

Damaging winds and severe weather conditions are being forecast for the NSW Snowy Mountains by the Bureau of Meteorology.

The severe weather warning predicts strengthening northwest winds on Tuesday night ahead of a cold front expected on Wednesday.

Perisher Valley, Charlotte Pass, Thredbo and Selwyn are among the areas expected to be affected, with gusts expected to reach 90km/h in alpine areas and 120km/h at mountain peaks.
