Dangerous driving charge after baby dies

A 24-year-old man will face a charge of dangerous driving occasioning death after a newborn baby girl was killed in a car crash in WA's Kimberley region.

A man has been charged after the car he was driving in Western Australia's Kimberley region rolled, killing a six-week-old girl.

The baby was flung out of the car as it crashed on Great Northern Highway, 130km south of Broome, on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, refused bail and will appear in the Broome Magistrates Court later on Monday.
