Crowd funding for a feature film about the parents of murdered Queenslander Daniel Morcombe is off to a flying start.

Organisers of the Kickstarter crowd funding campaign aim to raise $300,000 in 30 days and in less than two days pledges have topped $33,000.

The movie Where Is Daniel? is based on the book by Bruce and Denise Morcombe and their fight for justice after their 13-year-old son was abducted from a bus stop on the Sunshine Coast in December, 2003.
