Darwin crash kills one, puts 3 in hospital

A ute driver in Darwin has died after his vehicle collided with a car involved in a crash with another car, taking the NT road toll to 11.

A man has died in a three-vehicle collision in Darwin.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening when a car driven by a 38-year-old woman allegedly crashed into a stationary vehicle waiting to turn right on a Berrimah road.

Pushed into oncoming traffic, that car collided with a ute, which rolled several times, killing its 68-year-old male driver.

A 50-year-old passenger was cut from the ute and taken to hospital, where he was reported to be in a stable condition.

The 38-year-old is also in hospital as well as the driver of the third car.

The NT road toll stands at 11, compared to 10 at the corresponding time last year.
