Dateline: No Rules School

It's become known as New Zealand's school with few rules where children are allowed to run amok during recess.

Known as 'free range' play, the kids at Swanson School in Auckland are allowed to climb up trees, skid around on the bikes and even fire makeshift weapons.

Dani Isdale travelled to the school for Dateline to meet the students and their back to basics principal, Bruce McLachlan.

She told Greg Dyett he's a fan of the way things used to be in the playground.

And Dani Isdale's report can be seen on Dateline on Tuesday on SBS One from 9.30 pm.
