Jobs in regional areas, plus Bill Shorten's struggle to answer some questions on super policy on Tuesday.

WHAT LABOR WANTED TO TALK ABOUT:

Health and how great Western Australia is. Bill Shorten announced more funding for blood cancers, while campaigning in WA where several Liberal-held seats are vulnerable.

WHAT MADE NEWS:

* The coalition was forced to admit it needs legislation to boost tax offsets for low and middle income earners

* The Liberal National Party effectively lost a High Court case in trying to overturn Queensland's ban on property developers donating to political parties
