Dead bull sharks dumped on Qld road, beach

Six dead young bull sharks have been found mysteriously dumped on a Queensland road and beach, sparking safety concerns.

Several dead young bull sharks have been dumped on a Bribie Island road and beach on Tuesday, sparking safety concerns.

Five shark carcasses were dumped on the Bellara pontoon with fisheries officials warning their presence could attract other sharks to the popular southeast Queensland swimming spot.

Another small bull shark was found in the middle of a road in nearby Bongaree with officials saying although the dumping of the fish is not illegal, it could constitute littering.
