The annual Deadly Awards at the Sydney Opera House celebrated the work of some of the highest achievers in the Indigenous community.
For the second year in a row, singer Jessica Mauboy was awarded female artist of the year. She also took home the Single of the year award.
SBS Reporter Jeanette Francis was on the red carpet.
The Deadlys will be broadcast on SBS ONE on Sunday, 30 September 2012 and repeated on Thursday, 4 October 4 at 9.30pm on SBS Two and Wednesday, 3 October at 9.30pm on NITV.
