A man has died in hospital after a fight at a club in Sydney's southeast during celebrations for the Dragons' NRL grand final win.

A man has died in hospital after a fight at a club in Sydney's southeast during celebrations for the Dragons' NRL grand final win.

Police went to St George Leagues Club at Kogarah at about 12.20am (AEDT) on Monday after reports of a fight involving three men.

Police used a Taser on one man, who was subdued and arrested. He's currently assisting with inquiries at St George Police Station.

Capsicum spray was used to subdue a 35-year-old man, who lost consciousness and was taken to hospital, where he later died. Police say the cause of his death is not yet known.

Another man was also arrested at the scene and is assisting police at St George Police Station.

Police are continuing to conduct inquiries at the scene and appeal for anyone with information about the incident to contact them via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
