Tim Simona's NRL future won't be decided until next week at the earliest.
The Wests Tigers' centre had been expected to face the NRL on Friday to answer allegations he bet on matches.
However, a NRL spokesman said no hearing had been set down and his case wouldn't be heard this week.
Simona is facing the possibility of a life ban after allegedly betting on matches, including placing wagers on players he had been marking to score a try.
He has been suspended indefinitely from the game and the NRL has issued a notice to cancel his registration.

If found guilty, he could become the first player since Ryan Tandy to be banned for life.
He will be allowed to plead his case before NRL integrity unit head Nick Weeks.
NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg has vowed to come down hard on anyone found guilty of betting on matches in direct contravention of the game's rules.
Greenberg was in charge of Canterbury when Tandy was slapped with a life ban over a failed betting sting.
Tandy was found to have placed bets on North Queensland to score first points via a penalty goal in their August 2010 match against the Bulldogs.
The front-rower dropped the ball and gave away a penalty inside his side's 20m zone, however the Cowboys took a quick tap and scored.
