Australia's Matthew Dellavedova has shared in a moment of American sporting history, providing the assist for LeBron James to become the youngest player to score 25,000 points in the NBA.
Point guard Dellavedova came off the bench and enjoyed his best game of the new season for Cleveland in a seven-point win over the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring 12 points and giving nine assists in his game-high 34 minutes on court in Philadelphia.
He was even powerful around the ring, claiming five rebounds.
But the highlight for fans came when he put up a lob pass for four-times NBA MVP James to bring up his 25,000 career points.
At 30, James became the youngest to reach the milestone though he's fourth fastest in terms of games played.
Dellavedova relished the extra opportunities provided while star point guard Kyrie Irving, who is still rehabbing as a result of a knee fracture sustained in Game 1 of last year's finals series.
The Cavaliers brought in fellow point guard Mo Williams this season to add depth and he has been starting games in Irving's absence.
Dellavedova made a big impact with his whole-hearted play when he replaced Irving in the starting line-up during last season's finals.
He has also started this season in strong form, scoring 12 points against Memphis on Thursday and backed it up with 10 assists against Miami on Saturday.
