Demons crush Brisbane's AFL women

Jess Cameron has kicked six goals as Melbourne beat Brisbane by 71 points in their AFL women's exhibition match.

Melbourne have soundly defeated Brisbane in the women's AFL exhibition match at the MCG with the help of their latest multi-code wonder Jess Cameron.

Cameron, a former Australian international cricketer, kicked six goals in the 14.7 (91) to 3.2 (20) victory on Sunday.

In windy conditions, Melbourne kicked the first seven goals of the game and were never challenged by the Lions.

The match is part of an exhibition series held this year ahead of the introduction of the first national women's league in 2017.
