Michelle den Dekker has quit as coach of the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the trans-Tasman netball competition.

Michelle den Dekker has quit as coach of the winless Adelaide Thunderbirds in the trans-Tasman netball competition.

Netball South Australia says a "mutual agreement" has been reached with den Dekker, who was in her first year as Adelaide's head coach.

Assistant coach Kristy Keppich-Birrell has been named interim coach for the remaining five games of the season.
