Three million children from lower income families will be able to visit the dentist for free, under the federal government's dental care reform announced today.

Remote Indigenous communities and non-English speakers are set to be among the beneficiaries of the package.

The changes have been welcomed by health care groups, but slammed as 'another unfunded Labor promise' by the Opposition.
