Disappointment over gender equality ranking

A high-profile businesswoman says she's disappointed at Australia's latest world ranking for gender equality.

A high-profile businesswoman says she's disappointed to see Australia ranked only 24th in the world for gender equality.

Australia has slid down in the 2013 World Economic Forum ranking, and now sits below developing countries like Burundi and Cuba in gender equality.

Preeti Bajaj won the Financial Review BOSS Young Executive of the year award in 2011 and works with an ASX top 100 company.

She's speaking to Pallavi Jain from SBS Radio's Hindi program.
