Fremantle midfielder Lachie Neale has signed a three-year extension with the AFL club, which will keep him there until the end of the 2019 season.

The 23-year-old has played 84 games and kicked 40 goals since making his debut for the Dockers in 2012.

Fremantle general manager of player management Brad Lloyd says Neale has been an important player for the club.

"His application to his football was evident from the day he arrived and he has steadily improved to be a strong performer on a weekly basis," he said.
