Doctor drugged, assaulted NSW woman: cops

A doctor has been accused of drugging and indecently assaulting a female patient in Sydney's inner west.

A doctor has been accused of drugging and indecently assaulting a patient at his practice in Sydney's inner west.

It's alleged the 20-year-old woman was drugged without her knowledge or consent while under the care of the 48-year-old who then indecently assaulted her.

Detectives on Friday searched his Auburn medical practice and Rydalmere home where they seized several items.

He was arrested and as a result of ongoing investigations, three other victims were identified, police said in a statement.

The doctor was charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault and using intoxicating substances to commit an indictable offence.
