Sherrie Walter, 42, had cancer on her ear and had to have it removed, along with many of the structures inside her head.
Doctors made a whole new ear by taking the patient's cartilage from her ribs and shaping it into an ear. They then took that cartilage and put it under her forearm.
After about four months, doctors took that ear out of her forearm, where they carved and sculpted it even more.
Ms Walter says her hearing is now great.
