Dogs make five changes for Freo AFL trip

The Western Bulldogs have made five changes as coach Luke Beveridge tries to cover injuries as well as tinker with his line-up ahead of the AFL finals.

Defenders Matt Suckling and Dale Morris are among five inclusions by the Western Bulldogs for their AFL clash against Fremantle.

Luke Beveridge has had to shuffle his injury-hit line-up for most of the second half of the season and has done so again for Sunday's Subiaco encounter.

Jarryd Roughead (calf) and Easton Wood (ankle) depart the side that defeated Essendon, while Suckling and Morris are joined by Will Minson, Koby Stevens and Bailey Williams.

Beveridge couldn't find room in his best 22 for out-of-sorts forward Jake Stringer for the second week running.

Dockers great Matthew Pavlich goes in for his last game before retirement along with Aaron Sandilands, Zac Dawson and Matt de Boer.

Liam Dawson replaces the injured Jackson Paine for the Lions, who are looking to send off retiring defender Daniel Merrett with a win.

Ryan Schoenmakers and Jack Fitzpatrick are in for Hawthorn, who need for a replacement for ruckman Jon Ceglar, who ruptured an ACL in their loss to West Coast.

The Hawks host Collingwood in the late game on Sunday at the MCG, with the Pies welcoming back veterans Travis Cloke and Tyson Goldsack.

Coach Nathan Buckley rejected suggestions Cloke would be playing a farewell game before he seeks a trade.
