The Western Bulldogs will be boosted by the returns of star duo Brooke Lochland and Isabel Huntington for their pivotal AFLW clash with Fremantle.

Lochland, last season's leading goalkicker, is back after breaking her leg in a training incident on the eve of the season, while Huntington returns from a pre-season knee injury.

The Bulldogs are bottom of Conference A with two wins from four rounds and need to beat third-placed Fremantle on Sunday at Fremantle Oval to stay in touch with the top two.

The Dockers have named Hayley Miller, Alica Janz, Leah Mascall and potential debutant Matilda Sergeant in an extended squad that will be trimmed by two players.

The top two teams in Conference B will kick off round five, first-placed Brisbane hosting Geelong on Saturday at Moreton Bay Sports Complex.
