Brisbane Heat have added batsmen Alex Doolan and Marnus Labuschagne to its squad for Tuesday's top-of-the-table BBL clash against Melbourne Stars.

The second-placed Heat have lost star batsman Chris Lynn to international duties and suspended captain Brendon McCullum for the MCG clash.

Labuschagne is in line to make his BBL debut having been named player of the tournament at last year's one-day domestic competition.

Former Test batsman Doolan has not played in the BBL this season after missing the start of the competition with a broken jaw suffered in November.

The pair join paceman Nick Buchanan as inclusions in the 13-man squad, while Xavier Bartlett, who was 12th man in Brisbane's loss to Perth Scorchers last week, has been dropped.
