After more than four months on the market, Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom's former mansion in New Zealand has finally sold.
The lavish 12-bedroom, English-style mansion in Coatesville is infamous as the site of an early-morning police raid on Dotcom in 2012.
In 2014 its rateable value was $NZ23.55 million ($A22.75 million).
Barfoot and Thompson, which managed the sale by tender, would not reveal any details about the buyer or purchase price.
The listing attracted international interest, agent Christina Tang said.
"We fielded hundreds of inquiries and hosted multiple qualified purchasers at private viewings," she said.
Internet mogul Dotcom, who is currently fighting extradition to the United States to face internet piracy charges, had been renting the mansion but moved out in 2015 to a central Auckland apartment.
The property at 186 Mahoenui Valley Rd was described as offering luxury living as well as a potential development opportunity.
The four-level mansion covers 2375sq metres, sitting on 22.635 hectares of land.
