About 70 people have been reported to be injured after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake shook Afghanistan, Pakistan and parts of India.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre of the quake was 41 kilometres west-southwest of Ashkasham, Afghanistan, in the Hindu Kush mountains at a depth of 203 kilometres.
Ghulam Rasool, chief of Pakistan's Meteorological Department, said the quake was felt in several districts, including the capital Islamabad, on Saturday.
State-run Radio Pakistan reported at least 56 people injured in the northwestern province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa near the Afghan border.
Private Geo TV reported at least one quake-related death in Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan region in the north. It was not confirmed officially.
At least 12 people in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar were taken to hospital.
"Ten have been discharged, the two remaining will be discharged by tomorrow," Nangarhar public health chief Najib Kamawal said.
The disaster management ministry in Afghanistan is holding an emergency meeting while emergency response teams were assigned to quake-affected areas.
