Yothu Yindi singer Dr M. Yunupingu has died at his Arnhem Land home aged 56 from kidney disease.
The death of the man who helped to build bridges between Aboriginal and white communities has highlighted a large gap between them.
Indigenous people are a lot more likely than other Australians to die from the chronic condition.
