St George Illawarra NRL star Josh Dugan has been re-instated as the Dragons' No.1, with fullback Kurt Mann dumped after his shocker against Cronulla.

Coach Paul McGregor has heeded calls for Dugan to return to the custodian role, recalling Euan Aitken to the centres and dropping Mann to the NSW Cup as he searches for his first win of the season.

Dugan has been named, despite his strained hamstring, for Sunday's clash with an unchanged South Sydney at the SCG.

In contrast, the four other coaches yet to taste victory - Newcastle's Nathan Brown, Manly's Trent Barrett, the Warriors' Andrew McFadden and Penrith's Anthony Griffin - resisted making any forced changes.

McFadden has added Albert Vete and Charlie Gubb due to injuries to Sam Lisone and Raymond Faitala-Mariner, while centre Konrad Hurrell has been named on an extended bench to take on Melbourne.

The Storm's Cameron Munster will again deputise for the injured Billy Slater.

The Knights made one change to the one blasted by the Rabbitohs last week, with former Kangaroos representative Sione Mata'utia promoted from the under-20s to the bench after forward David Bhana was this week ruled out for up to two months with an ankle injury.

They will take on a Canberra side missing suspended centre Joey Leilua, with Brenko Lee in his place.

At Penrith, Will Smith has been called up for a side still missing star Matt Moylan.

Dean Whare (calf) joins Moylan in an injury ward that also houses James Segeyaro, leaving former Brisbane halfback Peter Wallace to start at No.9 against his old team. Tyrone Peachey will play at six.

Broncos coach Wayne Bennett named Greg Eden for the injured Corey Oates.

Canterbury rookie Kieran Holland can consider himself unlucky after being replaced by Chase Stanley, less than one week after his match-winning heroics with the boot, to take on Parramatta.

In-form Eels second-rower Kenny Edwards will start for the suspended Manu Ma'u.

For the Wests Tigers, Kyle Lovett starts in place of injured second-rower Curtis Sironen for their match against an unchanged Gold Coast team.
