The mother of Dreamworld ride victims Kate Goodchild and Luke Dorsett has no issues with the Gold Coast theme park reopening next week and plans to revisit, says a family friend.

Sandra Brookfield, who organised a crowd funding page which raised more than $67,000 for Ms Goodchild's two daughters, told AAP Kim Dorsett will one day visit Dreamworld, which reopens on Saturday December 10.

"She's all good with it, she's fine. She does plan to revisit at some stage," Ms Brookfield told AAP.

Dreamworld's reopening coincides with the first day of Queensland's summer school holidays.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, six weeks after Ms Goodchild, Mr Dorsett, Roozi Araghi and Cindy Low were killed when the popular Thunder River Rapids ride malfunctioned.

But several key attractions will remain closed as they are yet to complete a four-tier safety review ordered after the October 25 tragedy.

All slides and pools at neighbouring WhiteWater World will reopen.

Dreamworld facilities given the all-clear include its wildlife areas, entertainment and family attractions.

Major thrill rides such as the Tower of Terror, Buzzsaw and the Claw will reopen after safety reviews are completed, a process Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson insists won't be rushed.

Ms Brookfield said the Dorsett family had been overwhelmed by the donations that flowed in on the mycause.com funding site.

The money raised will be used to assist Ms Goodchild's partner of 13 years Dave Turner and their daughters, aged 10 months and 12 years.

"I'm thinking of shutting it (crowdfunding) down because I feel the Australian public have reached out and done their bit," Ms Brookfield said.

"The Dorsett family is very appreciative of the public's support."
