A stolen, unoccupied, four-wheel drive has hit a house in Sydney's west, police say.

A stolen, driverless, four-wheel drive has crashed into a house in Sydney's west.

The Nissan X-Trail, which police believe was unoccupied at the time, tore through two back yards before hitting a house on Nauru Crescent in Lethbridge Park on Saturday morning.

It then hit the edge of a pool and came to rest on its side.

No one was injured during the incident and the house sustained only minor damage.

Police said the vehicle had been stolen earlier from a St Clair address.

They are investigating whether the accelerator was tampered with.
